Description

Solid Fiberglass Rods

Remarkably flexible, round fiberglass rods are used as framing for a variety of structures like greenhouses, kites, and flag whips. Also known as glass fiber rods, solid fiberglass rods are available in black or white, are inexpensive, non-conductive, and extremely durable. We stock solid round fiberglass rod sizes from .062” to .750” in diameter.

Because fiberglass rods are not electrically conductive, they are a great material for antennas. Solid round fiberglass rods are also frequently used as a strengthening core in applications where conductivity is an issue.

Cutting Fiberglass

We can custom cut round rod to your desired size (cutting fees will apply) Inquires welcomed.

To cut fiberglass, use a Dremel motor with an abrasive cutting wheel for the cleanest cut possible. You can also use a fine-toothed hacksaw. Be sure fiberglass is held securely in place, be careful not to crush. Tape around area to be cut to prevent splintering or separation of fibers. Wear eye protection and a dust mask.
