In cooperation with The Kite Guys, Sharon will make available a series of special custom made kites, produced in limited quantities. All kites with be signed and number by the original artist Sharon Musto. Each kite is made as ordered. Expect 30 to 60 days delivery from date of purchase.
Maple Leaf Kite Features
This limited edition kite was designed and handcrafted in central Alberta, Canada for the Alexander Graham Bell Museum Store in Baddeck, Nova Scotia; it is also available through The Kite Guys in Bentley, Alberta CANADA. Each kite is signed and numbered by Sharon Musto.
KITE:
* 100 cm x 101 cm / 39.4” x 39.8”
* Red and white ripstop nylon, reflecting the colours of the Canadian flag.
* Each kite individually hot cut to seal the edges and minimize fraying
* Stitched around the perimeter to reduce stretch on bias cut edges
* Thread is high strength bonded polyester; can handle exposure to UV rays & humidity.
* Thread ends are all trimmed and heat sealed.
FRAME:
* Fibreglass spine, 2 top spreaders, 2 lower tip spreaders
BRIDLE:
* Adjustable tow point for variable wind conditions
TAILS:
* Two 3 Metre / 10 foot fuzzy tails
* Designed with a loop at one end and a knot at the other, so that you can join them together as one L-O-N-G tail or attach them to the kite separately in various configurations.
* Tail-less, this maple leaf behaves much like a medium-large fighter kite.
FLYING LINE:
* 23 kg / 50 pound line strength, 91 Metres / 300 feet on a sturdy red D-handle
BAG:
* The bag features a snug fold over top so nothing will fall out, plus a printed maple leaf pocket on the outside to store the instruction card.
